This past week has been very stressful.
I lost a friend a week ago exactly. It has been rough, trying to understand the un-explainable. Then of course the worst snow storm (or snow hurricane they are calling it) hit New York. Lost power and internet. Finally got it back, friends are still without heat and water, power and cable etc. They should get it back by Friday the earliest. My dad has been called into work and has had to stay later then usual. I am such a worry ward I refused to go out until I knew he was home safe.
I am so lucky to have the people in my life that I do now. My friends have been my back bone through this past week. Friends were staying with me making sure I was o.k. I really cannot thank them enough.
Sometimes life throws us these huge curve balls just to see how strong we really are. Even though I am behind in school work, and I am starting to doubt my ability to get through this, I still have faith that its just a hump i need to get over. This experience will only make me stronger.
My teachers have been so understanding through this hard time, and that I am so greatful for. It really makes me feel more relaxed and less pressured and I am able to get my work done knowing they understand that sometimes life throws curves that are just our of your hands.
There is a song I would like to share that really touched me during this past week.

Danielle - I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I also lost a friend last week...she was just 25 and too young to leave this world.
ReplyDeleteAs I have considered her life (which is what I focus on and not the death) -- I believe that some of the relaxation techniques in the class have been of value. I modified the one visualization technique to imagine her face with light shining out such that I was covered in her strength and beauty -- a great way to remember her I believe.
Thank you for sharing the song and your thoughts - my best to you during this time of loss...and of snow! Stay warm :-)
Take Care - David
