He flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees

This past week has been very stressful.

I lost a friend a week ago exactly. It has been rough, trying to understand the un-explainable. Then of course the worst snow storm (or snow hurricane they are calling it) hit New York. Lost power and internet. Finally got it back, friends are still without heat and water, power and cable etc. They should get it back by Friday the earliest. My dad has been called into work and has had to stay later then usual. I am such a worry ward I refused to go out until I knew he was home safe.

I am so lucky to have the people in my life that I do now. My friends have been my back bone through this past week. Friends were staying with me making sure I was o.k. I really cannot thank them enough.

Sometimes life throws us these huge curve balls just to see how strong we really are. Even though I am behind in school work, and I am starting to doubt my ability to get through this, I still have faith that its just a hump i need to get over. This experience will only make me stronger.

My teachers have been so understanding through this hard time, and that I am so greatful for. It really makes me feel more relaxed and less pressured and I am able to get my work done knowing they understand that sometimes life throws curves that are just our of your hands.

There is a song I would like to share that really touched me during this past week.

Reflections

Sorry class for such a delay post. Over the weekend I had lost a friend due to suicide and haven't been on the computer.

Based on your reflections, and on a scale of 1 to 10 (ten being optimal wellbeing), where do you rate your
A-physical wellbeing: 8- i work out regularly/daily to keep relaxed and in shape
B-spiritual well-being 3 - has been a little off.
C-psychological well-being? 6 - been very stressed out lately so im imbalanced here, trying to get things re-organized again.

2. Develop a goal for yourself in each area (physical, spiritual, psychological).
Trying to keep motivating myself to go to the gym to exercise or find alternative activities if i can't get to the gym, trying to get intouch with my self again to have high spirits about life and future goals.

3. What activities or exercise can you implement in your life to assist in moving toward each goal?
Activities that i enjoy doing, that make me feel good about myself. exercises that i see imporvements each time i get to teh gym and lift weights i see i can lift more weights and more reps is always good motivation.

The welcoming to a new beginning

Hello everyone,

This is all very new to me, so bare with me a bit.

This is my 4th year of college. First and last year at Kaplan, then I receive my B.A. in health and wellness :)

I couldn't tell you enough how happy I am to have chosen this major at Kaplan. It deffinitly is where I want to be in life. I previously majored in Physical Education, received my A.S. but it just did not feel right. But this, does and I am so excited to be graduating soon :)

I do many things to help me relax. I mostly listen to music. the type of music varies depending on my mood. I love going out with friends and just have no care in the world. Dancing and singing.

See you around.

:)
